his youthful years and received his schooling in Winston-Salem,
NC. He grew up in Hanes CME Church. After high school, he attended
Forsyth Technical College and went on to serve in the Marine Corp
over 4 years. He was ordained Elder in the AME Zion church in
1996.
Rev. Bonaparte pastored St. James AME Zion Church, Maiden,
NC for nine years. During the Annual Conference in 2006, he
requested 'Location Status' since he felt directed to
change from pastoring to working with adolescent boys needing
guidance. His residential care facility is called 'Emanuel House'.
The goal is to give these boys a Home-Away-From-Home. He is
a wonderful and available preacher/teacher. Rev. Bonaparte is also a skilled carpenter. He made his association
with Thomas Chapel at the beginning of conference year 2006-07.
He serves on the Grounds Committee for Camp Dorothy Walls.
He
is married to Mrs. Forrest Hauser Bonaparte. They have two grown
daughters, Natasha and Nicole, and one son-in-law, Perry. They
also have four grandchildren, Lauren, Monica, Kaylee and Christian.
Mrs. Forrest H. Bonaparte
was reared in Tobaccoville, NC. She was educated at Forsyth
Technical College and employed by Western Electric (which eventually
became AT&T and now Lucent Technologies). Her career with the
company covered a span of 33 years. She retired from there and
now keeps busy by volunteering in the school system and the
church and working in the family's business.
In the A.M.E. Zion Church, Mrs. Bonaparte serves as the Assistant
Secretary and Assistant Treasurer to the National and WNC Conference
Ministers Spouses and Widows(ers) Fellowship, respectively.
Currently, she is serving as the Statesville
District President of the WH&OM Society. She also serves
as a Deaconess and Christian Education Department Member at
Thomas Chapel in Conover, NC, where the pastor is the Rev. Lenton
Rhodes.
She loves reading, writing, walking, antique
